Actor Vemal, who was last seen in Vadam, is now in legal trouble. The actor has been sentenced to a year in prison in a financial case. The case stems from a loan Vemal had borrowed from Arasu Films Gopi to produce the film Mannar Vagaiyara. After the actor allegedly failed to repay the loan, Gopi filed a cheque bounce case against him.
Hearing the case, the court directed Vemal to pay the amount due to Arasu Films Gopi. The court also convicted the actor in the cheque bounce case and sentenced him to one year of imprisonment.
