Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay conveyed his regards for the winners of the 72nd National Film Awards for Tamil films. He released a statement through TN's DIPR.
The winners from the Tamil film industry have won a total of ten awards in multiple categories. National Award winner for Best Direction, Rajkumar Periasamy (Amaran), wrote on X, "Heartfelt Thanks to the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for the wishes."
National Award winner for Best Music Direction (Background Score) GV Prakash Kumar (Amaran) also showed his affection for the TN CM's wishes.
Meanwhile, actor Vijay's swansong Jana Nayagan is set to open in theatres on July 23. The film is written and directed by H Vinoth and has music by Anirudh. Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Priya Mani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and more are part of Jana Nayagan's cast.
