The sequel to Gatta Kusthi, Gatta Kusthi 2, has earned Rs 44.5 crores in its first 10 days of release. The makers of the Vishnuu Vishal starrer announced on Monday.
The actor-producer took to X to post the box-office announcement and thanked the audience. He wrote, "Box office numbers are a part of this business. But the love I've been receiving from the audiences has been so overwhelming... That's more important. Thank you all."
The film opened to mixed to positive reviews upon release. An excerpt from the CE review reads, "Gatta Kusthi 2 does a really good job of keeping the laughs coming, even if there are intermittent scenes where your eyes roll to the back of your head."
Gatta Kusthi 2 also stars Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Karunaas, Muniskanth, Kaali Venkat, Karunakaran, Zara, and Mokksha, among others. Besides acting in the film, Vishnu Vishal also produces it through his eponymous banner alongside Dr Ishari K Ganesh of Vels Film International.
On the technical front, the film has composer Sean Roldan, cinematographer KM Bhaskaran, editor Barath Vikraman, and art director Jayachandran.
