With three films in the pipeline, Suriya is reportedly set to collaborate with director Mari Selvaraj for his 50th film. The project will reportedly be backed by Kalaippuli S Thanu under his V Creations banner.
Earlier Suriya was set to begin production on Vetri Maaran's Vaadivaasal, which was to be bankrolled by V Creations. But the project has been put on hold, with Vetri Maaran moving forward with Arasan, a new film in the world of Vada Chennai (2018), which stars Silambarasan TR in the lead.
Suriya is currently awaiting the release of Karuppu, which is directed by RJ Balaji. His 46th film will be directed by Venky Atluri, who has directed Vaathi (2023). Meanwhile, Aavesham's maker Jithu Madhavan, will direct Suriya, in the actor's 47th film as a lead. The details of Suriya's 48th and 49th film haven't been confirmed yet.
Meanwhile, Mari Selvaraj, will reunite with Dhanush and AR Rahman, for the former's 56th project as a lead. He is also reportedly set to direct Inban Udhayanidhi in a different project.
