

Following the success of Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil, Jiiva is taking a tour across the state to interact and express his gratitude to fans and audiences for their positive response towards the film. The comedy drama film, directed by Nitish Sahadev of Falimy-fame, has been running with packed shows in many theatres. Speaking to reporters following a visit to the famous Thiruchendur Murugan Temple, the actor revealed that he is working on bringing a grand-scale film based on the stories of Lord Murugan to the big screens.
"I have always wanted to do a film based on Lord Murugan's stories and his pride. He's our Tamil God. We have started works for it which is why we came here to seek blessings from the Lord himself. Soon, you will hear an official announcement regarding the same. I'm sure it will be a big film in Tamil cinema's history," he said.
Jiiva further added that he and his team are currently researching the many stories from the life of Lord Murugan. "At the right time and moment, we are confident on locking its story and release," he noted.
With Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil, Nitish made his Tamil debut after delivering his Malayalam hit with the Basil Joseph-starrer. TTT is backed by a strong ensemble cast including Thambi Ramaiah, Ilavarasu, Prathana Nathan, and Anuraj OB.
Up next, Jiiva will be joining director M Rajesh for their sophomore collaboration after 2009's Siva Manasula Sakthi. Titled Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan, the makers are planning to release the film this summer. Composer-singer Yuvan Shankar Raja is also reuniting with the duo after 16 years for the project.
Jiiva also recently revealed that Siva Manasula Sakthi will have a rerelease as part of promotions for Jolliya Iruntha Oruthan, and that his upcoming film's trailer will be out soon.
