Malavika Mohanan has doubled down on her admiration for her Master co-star Vijay. Speaking to Ranveer Allahbadia, the actor said that the film Master is a "turning point" in her career, as Vijay is among the country's "biggest superstars". However, the actor suggested that the sense of being a superstar has not gone into his head. "He is not caught up in some bubble in his head. He is realistically observing, listening; he is figuring out the pulse of the person and the people," Malavika said. The actor also called him "one of the best listeners" that she has encountered in her life. "I really admire that he walks his talk," Malavika stated. Malavika recalled an incident where Vijay promised that he could her call at a particular time and he lived up to the promise. The actor said that this gesture "says a lot" about Vijay as a person and suggested these qualities will keep him in a good stead as far as his political career is concerned.
She described Vijay's decision to quit cinema and foray into politics as a "personal loss," although she understands his bigger ambitions.
After all the delays, Vijay's next film Jana Nayagan is expected to hit theatres soon following the announce of its censorship certification. On the other hand, Malavika stars opposite Prabhas in The Raja Saab, which hit theatres last week. The actor's upcoming films include Sardar 2, opposite Karthi.
