As Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Parasakthi gears up for release in theatres in a day, actors in the film are on a promotional spree to share details regarding the Sudha Kongara-directorial. In an exclusive interview with Cinema Express, Prithvi Rajan, who plays a supporting role in the film as Sivakarthikeyan's friend, remarked, "I have always wanted to work with Sudha Kongara, ma'am." Reflecting on his decision to work in Parasakthi, he revealed that he was called for a meeting a day before his audition for the film. "Sudha Kongara was a little late for the meeting. She apologised to me, saying, 'I don't like people waiting for me'," he said.

Prithvi, son of veteran actor-comedian Pandiarajan, also opened up on how he shared a few warm moments with Sivakarthikeyan on the sets of the film. He recalled the moment when the Amaran actor visited them personally years ago, to give a wedding invitation to his family. "Sivakarthikeyan had also shared a few words of praise for my father Pandiarajan. He told me that without my father, he is worth nothing and mentioned how he approached Sivakarthikeyan when he was in his lowest. He said it was a time when nobody gave him an opportunity to work in the industry and remembered how his words of encouragement pushed him to work as an anchor in the show Kalakka Povathu Yaaru which eventually propelled him to the limelight," he elaborated.

Speaking about the controversies surrounding the film, Prithvi said, "The film revolves around the anti-Hindi agitation that happened in and around Tamil Nadu, but it is no away against the Hindi language or its people. It only speaks about how the people will be affected when Hindi is imposed on Tamil people."

Prithvi also weighed in on the Parasakthi vs Jana Nayagan debate and the rumours surrounding the two films. "I like both the films and I'm a fan of both actors so I will watch both the movies in theatres," he remarked, reiterating what Sivakarthikeyan spoke about the clash during the Parasakthi audio launch. "It's common for a festival holiday to witness the release of many films in theatres. I only wish that all the films run successfully. We should also understand the kind of money involved in making them and the number of people who will gain employment out of being part of such films," he added.

Up next, the actor is starring in Dhanush's D54 under Vignesh Raja's direction. Sharing details about it, he expressed his happiness on working with the Por Thozhil director. Revisiting the moment when he first saw Dhanush on screen, he explained, "I was studying in 10th grade when Kadhal Konden (2003) was released. I was surprised to see how he well he acted and emoted many scenes that continues to connect with us. When I mentioned this to him, he was surprised and asked me, 'What is your age?'. I learnt about his career, experience in the industry and his process of acting. It is a unique experience to act with a star after watching him in many films on screen. That was memorable for me."

Prithvi Rajan is also known for Vaidehi (2009) and Mupparimanam (2017). Parasakthi, which has now cleared censorship formalities, is slated for release on January 10, 2026.
