The other day, we reported about legendary director Bharathiraja's health condition being stable even as he undergoes intensive care treatment after his admission for lung infection at the MGM Healthcare hospital in Chennai. "He is on all appropriate treatment for organ impairments and is closely cared for by our team of medical experts. His condition is stable and he will continue to require treatment at the critical care unit," the hospital conveyed on Monday. Directors such as Chitra Lakshmanan, Seenu Ramasamy, Ameer, Seeman, RK Selvamani, AR Murugadoss and Lingusamy visited Bharathiraja at the hospital, alongside producer Kalaipuli S Thanu.
Earlier today, Lingusamy took to social media to confirm their visit and give a health update on the legendary filmmaker. "Me along with reputed directors went to hospital and met Bharathiraja sir, his health is stable and recovering well. Requesting not to spread any rumours regarding his health and having him in our prayers, is the best we could do to such a legendary director."
Lingusamy's sentiment echoes that of Selvamani, who accompanied him in the directors' recent visit to the hospital. The other day, IANS reported, Selvamani called out the inaccurate reports about the director's health while confirming that the latter is stable following a spell of pneumonia.
The filmmaker's health became worse in late December and was subsequently taken to the hospital by his family. Reportedly, he experienced respiratory issues. Recently, the filmmaker's son Manoj passed away after experiencing a cardiac arrest.
