The makers of filmmaker Vignesh Karthick's Hot Spot 2 Much dropped the trailer glimpse from the film on Tuesday.
Similar to the first film, Hot Spot, the glimpse of the spiritual sequel features multiple characters discussing various controversial topics, such as casteism and some humour related to politics. In this film, Priya Bhavani Shankar narrates different stories to the producer (producer of the film).
Produced by KJB Talkies' Balamanimarban and Suresh Kumar, the film, which explores a fresh set of stories and taboos, features actor Aadhitya Baaskar, who was part of the first film, returning to the cast. He'll be joined by his father and actor MS Bhaskar, Thambi Ramaiah, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Brigida Saga, Bhavani Sre Sanjana Tiwari, Ashwin Kumar, and Rakshan.
The first film, also featuring Kalaiyarasan, Sofia, Sandy, Gouri G Kishan, Ammu Abhirami, Janani, and Subash, had four segments that dealt with taboos, such as a restrictive married life for women, the boundaries of sexual relationships, the perils of reality shows, and male prostitution.
Hot Spot opened to mixed to positive reviews upon its release.
The anthology film, presented by actor-producer Vishnu Vishal's Vishnu Vishal Studioz, has cinematography by Jagadeesh Ravi and Joseph Paul, editing by Muthayan U, and music by Satish Raghunathan.
