Actors Sarath Kumar and Shanmuga Pandian Vijayakant's Kombuseevi, which was released in theatres in December 2025, has got an OTT release on Friday. The film, directed by Ponram, will be available to stream on Prime Video.

Set against the 90s Theni, Kombuseevi is about how some people chose the path of lawlessness after the construction of a dam that required the evacuation of 12 villages. Based on true incidents, the film had Sarathkumar playing Rokkapuli and Pandi (Shanmuga Pandian), who indulge in violence and ganja peddling to make up for their lost livelihoods of farming and with the money they also help the affected villagers. Though they are justified from their perspective, the two have constant run-ins with law enforcement. The film follows what happens when the conflict gets more marked and severe. The film opened to largely negative reviews upon release.

Director Ponram, who has made Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam, Rajini Murugan, and DSP, is collaborating with actors Shanmuga Pandian and Sarathkumar for the first time in Kombuseevi. The rest of the star cast of Kombuseevi also comprises stars Kaali Venkat, Kalki Raja, and Tharnika in supporting roles. In addition to Yuvan Shankar Raja, the film's technical crew has cinematographer Balasubramaniem, editor Dinesh Ponnuraj, and action choreographers Phoenix Prabhu and Saravana Sakthi in its technical team. Kombuseevi is produced by Mukesh Chelliah of Star Cinemas.
