We had reported earlier that actor-composer GV Prakash's Lucky would be one of the 25 original projects of JioHotstar slate. The makers on Monday announced that the film will release on the streaming platform directly on February 20.
The earlier released announcement glimpse of the film suggested that the titular dog has the superpower to bring good luck to the one who possesses it, and GV Prakash, without realising, gives it to someone, and after he runs out of luck and becomes wary of the dog's power, he wants to get it back.
Lucky, which marks GV Prakash's first web series, also stars Anaswara Rajan, Meghna Sumesh, Elango Kumaravel, Udhay Mahesh and Devadarshini in key roles. It is produced by Kandasamy and Pushpa Kandasamy.
GV Prakash, last seen in Mu Maran's Blackmail, has upcoming projects including Idimuzhakkam, Mental Manadhil, Happy Raj, and Immortal, awaiting releases. Anaswara Rajan's With Love, marking filmmaker Abishan Jeevinth's acting debut, is set for release on February 6.
