Actor Simran met with weightlifter and the winner of a silver medal at the recent Commonwealth Games Raja Muthupandi. The latest edition of the Commonwealth Games was held at Glasgow, Scotland.
Simran appreciated Raja Muthupandi's efforts in competing in such a prestigious competition. She said, “With this victory, you have already brought pride to India and our Tamil Nadu. It is a matter of even greater happiness and pride to see someone from our own Tamil Nadu achieve such a remarkable feat on the international stage. With the same determination and perseverance, I wish you continue to achieve many more victories and win several more medals in national and international competitions.”
The athelete is originally from Kovilpatti and was part of the Indian contingent to the Commonwealth Games in 2018.
In the latest edition of the Commonwealth Games, Raja Muthupandi lifted 126 kg in the snatch and 160 kg in the jerk parts of the weightlifting competition.
