This Sunday marks the 100 days of Suriya's film Karuppu in theatres. It has earned more than 300 crore from theatres worldwide, thus becoming the highest-grossing film in Suriya's career. On the special occasion, the film's production banner, SR Prabhu's Dream Warrior Pictures, and director-actor RJ Balaji shared notes expressing their gratitude to the audience.

Dream Warrior Pictures wrote, "From the first show to the 100th day, your love has been the heartbeat of Karuppu. Thank you to all our audiences and Anbaana Fans for standing with us through this incredible journey." For the uninitiated, the term 'Anbaana Fans' refers to Suriya's admirers. It is also a popular line from the film.

On the other hand, RJ Balaji, who also plays a key role in the film, wrote, "100 days of a fairytale journey..! Different beliefs, different cultures, different generations, yet Karuppu lives on etched deep in the hearts of people across the globe.!!! A generational blockbuster..!!! Thank you God..!"

Meanwhile, Suriya thanked the audience "for owning and celebrating" his film and said that its "success belongs to all of you." Karuppu's achievement comes at a time when Suriya's latest film, Vishwanath and Sons, continues its dream run at the box office. On Sunday, the tenth day of its release, the film has earned a net collection of 1.19 crore from theatres in India so far, according to data from Sacnilk. Vishwanath and Sons earned more than 110 crore at the global box office within three days of its release, making it the fastest Suriya starrer to reach there. It has earned more than 160 crore from theatres worldwide, according to the latest data from Sacnilk.

Karuppu's massive success is believed to have played a part in the box office performance of director Venky Atluri's film, also starring Mamitha Baiju. Up next, Suriya has one film with Aavesham director Jithu Madhavan, co-starring Nazriya Nazim and Naslen, and another with his Jai Bhim filmmaker TJ Gnanavel.
