Vadhandhi season 2 is set to release on Prime Video on August 07, Friday. Ahead of its release, actor-director RJ Balaji expressed his support to the series and his longtime friend Andrew Louis, the writer-director-creator of the upcoming season.
Appearing in a video with Andrew Louis, Balaji said that he has known Andrew for a long time now and had planned to do a film with the Vadhandhi season 2 creator. "He has been a friend of mine for a long time now. We were supposed to do a film together, but it is his good fortune that it did not materialise," RJ Balaji quipped.
Balaji also expressed his optimism for a future collaboration with Andrew. "By God's grace, hopefully, it will happen in the future," the actor-filmmaker said.
The Karuppu star and director also asked people to watch Vadhandhi season 2 and praised its creator-director. "You will definitely like the second season," the actor-director told the audience before adding, "Andrew is a very sensible filmmaker. I wish Andrew and his entire team, including Sasikumar sir, all the best."
Andrew created Vadhandhi, with Pushkar–Gayatri serving as creative producers. It follows a sub inspector who selves mysterious cases in Tamil Nadu while dealing with speculation, sensational journalism, and social media furore.
The upcoming season stars Sasikumar, Anagha Maruthora, Aparna Das, Revathy Sarma, Yashwanth, and Vivek Prasanna, among others. The official logline for it reads, "Vadhandhi S2 unravels a chilling mystery set in rural Madurai. When skeletal remains are unexpectedly discovered at a highway site, SI Moosa Raaza races against time to unveil the truth. An elusive prisoner, Mani is linked to the homicide but refuses to speak up. Why? As secrets surface, discover what lies beneath."
