Director Nahas Hidhayath of RDX fame is awaiting the August 20 release of his next film, I'm Game, starring Dulquer Salmaan, Mysskin, and Antony Varghese, among others. Ahead of the film's release, actor Arshad disclosed in an interview with Color Kannadi Media that Mysskin portrays the main villain in the film and that he stars in it as the "second villain". Known for his roles in films such as Jailer and Jana Nayagan, Arshad also revealed that Nahas is soon going to do a film in Tamil.
The actor's revelation has intensified the speculation about a collaboration between Nahas Hidhayath and Suriya. The rumour has been doing the rounds for a few months now, but it has become even more intense as the I'm Game star himself has said that the filmmaker is foraying into the Tamil film industry. While Arshad has not mentioned Suriya's name, netizens speculate it to be a film with the actor who is coming fresh from the blockbuster success of Karuppu.
The factor that further fuels the speculation is perhaps an old social media post from Nahas after his meeting with Suriya:
Notably, Suriya is set to play the main role in an action entertainer, directed by Romancham and Aavesham fame Jithu Madhavan. The actor plays a cop in the film, also starring Nazriya Nazim and Naslen. His upcoming films also include Vishwanath and Sons, directed by Venky Atluri and co-starring Mamitha Baiju.
Nahas made his directorial debut with RDX (2023), the Martial arts-based action film, starring Shane Nigam, Antony Varghese, Neeraj Madhav, and Mahima Nambiar, among others. The film earned much appreciation from critics and audiences for its authentic Martial arts sequences and performances.
I'm Game is set to mark his second film as a director. There are massive expectations around the film that have only gone up after the release of its trailer, featuring Dulquer Salmaan in a rarely-seen avatar.
