Prime Video has unveiled the trailer for the its upcoming crime drama series, Exam. The series, which is written and directed by A Sarkunam, is set to premiere on May 15.
Pushkar-Gayathri, who continue their collaboration with Prime Video after Suzhal and Vadhandhi, serve as creative producers on Exam, and back the series under their Wallwatcher Films banner.
The cast for Exam include Dushara Vijayan, Aditi Balan, Abbas, and Vasundhara Kashyap. The series is centred on Jhansi (Dushara Vijayan), who, along with her mentor Jayachandran (Abbas), seeks to expose the racket surrounding entrance examinations. Jhansi impersonates DSP Maramalli (Aditi Balan), in her quest to do the right thing.
Speaking about her character Dushara Vijayan said, "Getting into the skin of Jhansi’s character was one of the most demanding yet rewarding experiences of my career. She is fierce, courageous, and fighting for something that goes far beyond herself, refusing to be powerless in a world that has given her every reason to give up. The trailer is only a glimpse into the impossible choices she must make and the extraordinary lengths she is willing to go to make them count."
"Playing DSP Maramalli was both challenging and exciting for me—she’s layered, real, and deeply human. As she faces the consequences of her choices, she must find a way to cope with both inner conflict and external pressures," said Aditi Balan.
Meanwhile, Abbas added, "My character’s motivation and influence on Jhansi’s journey add a whole new dimension to the story, something I think audiences will find deeply compelling."
Apart from Exam, Pushkar-Gayathri have the second season of Vadhandhi in the pipeline.
