Voice artist and actor Sreeja Ravi, who will be seen in the upcoming film Kara opposite Dhanush, has shared her experience working with him.
In a recent interview, the actor said that playing Dhanush's mother made her nervous as he lacked experience as an actor, and what contributed to it was sharing screen space with KS Ravikumar. She said, "This combination gave me butterflies in the stomach. I thank Vignesh Raja for the opportunity."
Revealing more about her character Dhanam, Sreeja credited the makeup team for showing her in a different dimension in her look. She also added that her being a voice artist also helped her enhance the performance as Dhanam.
Kara, starring Mamitha Baiju as the female lead, also features Suraj Venjaramoodu, Karunaas, KS Ravikumar, Jayaram, Prithvi Pandiarajan, and MS Bhaskar, among others.
GV Prakash Kumar is composing music for Kara, continuing his collaboration with Dhanush after Idli Kadai (2025). Yuga Bharathi and Asal Kolaar have written the lyrics. The technical crew also includes Theni Eswar as the director of photography, Sreejith Sarang as the editor, Mayapandi as the art director, and Dinesh Kasi as the action director.
Kara is written by director Vignesh along with Alfred Prakash. Ishari K Ganesh is producing the film under his Vels Film International banner, along with Kushmitha Ganesh as the co-producer. Kara is releasing worldwide on April 30.
