Actor-filmmaker Ken Karunaas's coming-of-age comedy Youth, which has been having a successful run at the theatres, has achieved yet another box office milestone.
Paarvathaa Entertainment, the banner behind the film, has updated on its social media handle that the film has earned over Rs 82 Crores at the box office. The film, marking the directorial and lead debut of Ken, also stars Anishma Anilkumar, Meenakshi Dinesh, and Priyanshi Yadav as female leads in the film, which also has Abison Thevarasa, Karen Vincent, Devadarshini, and Suraj Venjaramoodu, among others, playing supporting roles.
The film, which was released on OTT today, is about Praveen (Ken), who is solely focused on falling in love with dreamy ideas of romance in high school while performing dismally in academics. After suffering a personal jolt, he shifts priorities to salvage his pride and restore peace in his family.
An excerpt from our CE review of the film read, "In Youth, Ken gets most things right and shines as a director, especially in the way he has extracted performances. While the kids are all right in this film, it is Suraj and Devadarshini who really steal the show in the last act with their restraint and subtlety. These portions also work in favour of Youth because it, rightfully, forgets that the film is a star vehicle. As we walk out of the theatres, we are given a chance to reminisce on our own school lives."
