Just a few hours ago, it was discovered that the entire Jana Nayagan film has been leaked online. Shortly after, a note, supposedly penned by H Vinoth on his Instagram stories, has been making the rounds. The note reads, "Every scene carries someone's dream. The leak before release is truly painful. Please support by not sharing it."

While the note is being widely reshared, the account that posted it appears to be a fake handle. Director H Vinoth does not have any known official presence on Instagram or X, raising doubts about the authenticity of the viral note being widely circulated online. Additionally, KVN Productions, the producers of Jana Nayagan, have not tagged any verified account belonging to the filmmaker in their posts related to the film so far.

The leak comes shortly after Vijay took an indirect dig at his political opposition for deliberately contributing to a delay in the release of the film. Jana Nayagan was originally slated for a Pongal release, but it has since been delayed for lack of censorship clearance.

A Censor Board revising committee member objected to certain scenes in the film, after which the makers filed a case against the board, taking it through a litigation process.

Subsequently, the producer withdrew its case against the board and submitted the film again to the committee after applying the requisite cuts. The film is still going through a re-examination process, and the latest reports say that it would most likely not release before the Tamil Nadu Assembly Election.

Jana Nayagan also stars Mamitha Baiju, Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, and Narain, among others. The film is regarded as a remake of director Anil Ravipudi's National Award-winning 2023 film Bhagavanth Kesari, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and Sreeleela. The makers of both films denied talks about it being a remake before the Vijay starrer's trailer made it virtually obvious.
