Rajinikanth has voiced out his condemnation on the leak of Vijay's Jana Nayagan. During the late hours of April 9, some footage of Jana Nayagan was discovered to be leaked, after which it was discovered that the entire film was leaked online.
Taking to his X handle, Rajinikanth wrote, "The release of the Jana Nayagan film on the internet by someone has caused shock and pain. Film associations must raise their voice against this, and the government must identify those responsible and impose severe punishment. Crimes like this shouldn't continue hereafter."
Insiders from film industries across various languages have offered support, condemning the leakage. The source of the leakages are yet to be found.
Written and directed by H Vinoth, Jana Nayagan is Vijay's last film, before he retires from films, for politics. The film also stars Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, and Bobby Deol, among others.
