Film personalities from the Telugu film industry have joined in to condemn the leak of Jana Nayagan's footage. The leak was discovered late on Thursday, where initially limited footage was pirated, after which it was discovered that the entire film was leaked.
Actor Chiranjeevi, taking to his X handle wrote, "The unfortunate leak of Jana Nayagan is something that deeply concerns me. Cinema is built on trust, effort, and the collective dreams of many. Such incidents affect all of us in the industry and remind us how crucial it is to protect our creative work. We stand one with KVN Productions in containing the damage and punishing the culprits. Let us all extend our support to respect and protect CINEMA! Kill Piracy. Save Cinema."
KVN Productions is the banner backing Chiranjeevi's next, which is directed by Daaku Maharaj's maker Bobby Kolli. The director also took to social media to voice his support. "The leak of Jana Nayagan is truly upsetting. A lot of hard work and passion goes into every film, and incidents like this affect us all. Standing with the team. Respect cinema. Say no to piracy."
Actor Mohan Babu deemed the leaks as 'deeply heartbreaking'. He wrote, "This is a grave sacrilege and a shameful act of betrayal against the entire film industry. The illegal leak of Jana Nayagan online is deeply heartbreaking. Hundreds of dedicated technicians, artists and crew members have poured their sweat, blood and years of hard work into this film. Their livelihoods and future stand severely damaged by these criminals. Those responsible for this crime must be immediately hunted down, identified and punished with the full force of the law. No mercy should be shown to anyone who destroys the fruits of collective labour in cinema. We must protect our films and the dignity of those who create them. Stop Piracy."
Manoj Manchu also expressed his support and called the leaks, 'a wound on the hand on every unseen hand behind the frame.' He added, "I stand in complete solidarity with KVN Productions. A film lives through years of effort, sleepless nights, and silent sacrifices. Reducing it to a leaked file erases those lives. When cinema lives on every screen, integrity is the only thing that protects it. What we choose defines what survives. Let respect be louder than piracy. Protect the sweat behind the screen. Protect the soul of cinema. Do not watch. Do not share. Kill Piracy. Protect Cinema."
Producer SKN (Sreenivasa Kumar), wrote, "It’s truly heartbreaking to see what happened with Jana Nayagan. I can deeply understand the pain of a producer, KVN Productions as I went through a similar trauma during the making of Taxiwaala which got leaked much before its release. The stress, disappointment, and emotional toll that come with such incidents are immense. So much hard work, passion, and countless sleepless nights go into creating a film, and moments like these are incredibly disheartening.
