We had earlier reported that veteran actor Pandiyarajan will star in a one-minute micro series with a 60-minute duration in total. While the series was earlier titled Thadayam, it has been used in the Samuthirakani-starrer Zee5 series. The makers, while dropping the trailer of the series, announced that it has been renamed Constable Pandiyan.

The crime series operates in a whodunnit space with a group of people gathering in a hill station, where, during the power cut, one person gets killed. In the group of holidaymakers, there is a retired constable, Pandiyan (Pandiyarajan), who takes up the investigation duties to find out the killer. The trailer revolves around the crime and conflicting stories and versions of different people.

Speaking about the series, its director Harish Hero said that he had to do a lot of convincing to make Pandiyarajan accept the role. "Pandiyarajan sir said he wants to be a part of the next generation of filmmaking. Honestly, considering his experience, we didn't expect him to have such a childlike curiosity. We gave him a movie-like pitch and explained how we are planning to shoot. We shot 20 episodes a day for three days."

The micro series is now streaming on the Bullet Micro Drama app.
