Recently, we reported about Arjun Das and Aditi Shankar starring in a film titled Once More, directed by Vignesh Srikanth from his own screenplay. Earlier this Wednesday, the film's producer, Yuvaraj Ganesan's Million Dollar Studios, revealed Sona Olickal as the second female lead in it. Going by the new Once More teaser, Sona plays a love interest of the character played by Arjun Das in the movie.
In the teaser, Sona's character, a Malayali girl, asks Arjun's character why he falls in love at first sight. Subsequently, he tries to convince to her that a cross-cultural romance will have a positive outcome, with a reference to M Kumaran Son of Mahalakshmi, whereas she tells him that such love stories will end on a tragic note, citing Autograph and Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa. "This Summer.. Bringing love straight out of Calicut.. Step into the world of Raghu and Indra.." Up until now, the makers only hinted at what the film's story might be like, but the latest teaser offers a better idea about it.
Recently, Arjun took to his Instagram Stories and wrote, "What does one do if life says "Once More," with a heart emoticon alongside it, and "When you love someone so very much and they end up breaking your heart, how does one possibly move on?" It appears that Aditi Shankar comes into Arjun Das's life after his first love, even though the makers are yet to reveal plot specifics.
The film's title is the same as director SA Chandrasekhar's 1997 movie, starring Sivaji Ganesan, Vijay, Saroja Devi, and Simran in her Tamil debut. Come to think of it, the film marks the Tamil debut of music director Hesham Abdul Wahab, known for his work on movies such as Hridayam, Sesham Mike-il Fathima, and Hi Nanna.
On the technical front, the movie has cinematographer Aravind Viswanathan, art director Raj Kamal, editor Nash, and costume designer Navadevi Rajkumar.
Once More is set to hit theatres later this summer, although the makers are yet to announce its release date. Meanwhile, its next song, titled 'Indra', will release at 5:00 pm on Friday.
