With the release of actor Rio Raj's upcoming film Aan Paavam Pollathathu slated for a release on October 31, the makers announced that the film's theatrical rights have been bagged by production and distribution firm AGS Cinemas.
Aan Paavam Pollathathu marks the second collaboration between Rio Raj and Malavika Manoj, after their hit outing Joe. Helmed by Kalaiarasan Thangavel, Aan Paavam Pollathathu is bankrolled by Drumsticks Production.
According to the makers, the film will explore the complexities of a marriage after the honeymoon phase and how a modern-day couple navigates these complexities. Apart from Rio and Malavika, the film also features Sheela Rajkumar, Jenson Dhivakar, and RJ Vigneshkanth in pivotal roles. With story, screenplay, and dialogue by Sivakumar Murugesan, the film has music by Siddhu Kumar, cinematography by Madhesh Manickam, and editing by Varun KG. The film has Rio play a conservative-minded husband with Malavika cast as a progressive woman.
Rio had two releases this year: Niram Marum Ulagil, directed by Britto JB, and Sweetheart, helmed by Swineeth S Sukumar. He also made a cameo appearance in Vikram Prabhu starrer Love Marriage, directed by Shanmuga Priyan.
