Prabhu Dheva is all set to step into the world of OTT with a new political crime thriller titled Sethurajan IPS, directed by Rafiq Ismail. In the video showcasing Sony LIV's upcoming slate of films and web series, the first look for his upcoming Tamil series was released.

According to the makers, the series unfolds against a charged backdrop of rural Tamil Nadu where Prabhu Dheva dons the cop uniform once again to investigate a politically sensitive murder case "that spirals into a battle of power, identity, and justice."

Sharing his thoughts, Prabhu Dheva said, "Sethurajan IPS isn’t just a cop; he’s a man caught in a storm of duty, identity, and politics. This role challenged me like never before. I believe this story is not just timely, but necessary. Sony LIV has always pushed the envelope with bold, rooted storytelling and this series is no exception." A release date for the series is yet to be announced.

Prabhu Dheva, who was last seen in Jolly O Gymkhana (2024), directed by Sakthi Chidambaram in Tamil and Badass Ravi Kumar in Hindi, has Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer, Moon Walk, Singanallur Signal , and Maharagni - Queen of Queens in various stages of production. Additionally, he is reuniting with Vadivelu after 24 years with a new film, directed by Sam Rodrigues. The film recently went on floors.
