Ajith Kumar on Karur stampede: We are all responsible as a society

Breaking the silence on the horrific Karur stampede that occurred this September, actor-racer Ajith Kumar, referring to Vijay, said just one individual cannot be blamed for the tragedy.

In his recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Ajith said, "That individual alone is not responsible, we are all responsible for it, and the media has a part to play in this."

He goes on to elaborate that the society collectively has become "obsessed with gathering," and this has to end. He further adds that this should be taken in the right spirit and that he, as an actor, like every other actor, works, stays away from family, and endures injuries for the love of fans, but there should be a way to express. He said that such hero-worship culture projects the whole film industry in a bad light.

On the work front, Ajith is set to collaborate once again with Adhik Ravichandran after Good Bad Ugly. The actor said the official announcement of the project will be made in January 2026.

Earlier, Adhik commented that while Good Bad Ugly satisfied Ajith's fans, their next collaboration would satisfy all.
