Filmmaker Selvaraghavan, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Aaryan, fronted by Vishnu Vishal, revealed that he is generally unaffected by the criticisms his movies receive. He said he grew a shell on him after a point.

In an interview with Galatta Plus, he said that he doesn't get upset so easily over online trolls and comments. "There was a time when I got worked up over negative comments. I faced a barrage of such comments during the release of Aayirathil Oruvan. It trained me to deal with such negativity for the rest of my life," he said.

Selvaraghavan also shared that the love the 2010 film is getting is too late. "Aayirathil Oruvan getting praised in retrospect adds no value and does nothing to remove the criticisms it initially received. I actually feel that appreciating films years after they get released does no help. We invest in making the film with the hope of getting returns. It is of no use in appreciating the film now."

Manasa Choudhary plays the female lead in the investigation thriller, directed by Praveen K.

Produced by Vishnu Vishal's Vishnu Vishal Studioz, Aaryan is penned by the actor's FIR collaborator Manu Anand. The film's technical crew has cinematographer Harish Kannan, music composer Sam CS, and editor San Lokesh.

Apart from Tamil, the film is set to release in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi on October 31.
