Actor Soori, who has been gaining appreciation for his choice of films over the last few years, recently responded to an X user who belittled the success he has built. The actor had shared a video of him celebrating Deepavali with his family on the festive occasion on Monday. When a person by the ID 'Black Moon' replied under his video with a Tamil phrase that roughly translates to, 'Life suddenly showed up to the one lazing on the porch', he revealed that his success was not a stroke of luck, but due to consistent efforts and trust in his work.
Soori said his path to success was filled with struggles, during which he spent many nights on the streets. “I wasn’t on the porch, my friend. I spent countless days and nights on the streets. Those very paths taught me the true meaning and value of life. If you believe in your own growth and keep moving forward, success will surely find you,” he wrote.
Soori's post has been widely praised, with many noting that his response was measured, patient, and thoughtfully worded.
Soori, rose to fame playing comedy roles in many films including Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu, Kalavani, Naan Mahaan Alla, Manam Kothi Paravai, Sundarapandian, Desingu Raja, Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam, and Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara, among many others. He later shed that image, taking on more intense lead roles over the last two years with films like Viduthalai Part 1, Garudan, and Kottukkaali, earning massive praise for his performance.
The actor, who was last seen in Maaman, has director Ram's Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai and Mandaadi, directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi in his line-up.
