Actor Dravid Selvam, who is popular for his works in the Parithabangal YouTube channel that makes comedy content out of mundane activities of daily life and on relevant social issues, made his recent screen appearance in the Pradeep Ranganathan-starrer Dude.
Dravid penned a thank-you note on his Instagram handle. He wrote that Pradeep was a "dear brother" who treated him like a friend. He went on to thank the director Keerthiswaran, female lead Mamitha Baiju, cinematographer Niketh Bommi, and the production banner Mythiri Movie Makers. He played Pradeep's friend in the movie.
Dude, which was released on October 17 ahead of Deepavali, revolves around Agan (Pradeep) and Kural (Mamitha Baiju), who fall in love with each other, but not at the same time, and are forced to reject each other's proposals due to circumstances. What happens in their lives during the time period between their proposals has lasting consequences. How Agan and Kural deal with the complexities in their bond is what the film is about.
Apart from Pradeep and Mamitha, the film also stars Sarath Kumar, Rohini, Hridhu Haroon, and Dravid Selvam. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film's technical crew comprises music composer Sai Abhyankkar, cinematographer Niketh Bommi, and editor Barath Vikraman.
Dude was released alongside Mari Selvaraj's Bison Kaalamaadan and Shanmugam Muthusamy's Diesel.
