Earlier, we reported about Vishnu Vishal reuniting with his Mundasupatti and Ratsasan director Ramkumar for a film titled Irandu Vaanam. In a recent conversation with Galatta, Vishnu spoke about his experience shooting the film and teased its release window. "We shot for almost 150 days, and we have acted in more than 220 call sheets." The actor later said that the film would definitely release by the end of this year or February next year. "After Aaryan, it would definitely be a special film," Vishnu said.
Irandu Vaanam stars Mamitha Baiju in the female lead. Towards the end of the film's production, Vishnu took to social media and said that his director "has cooked something unique and interesting again."
Irandu Vaanam marks Ramkumar's comeback to direction following 2018's Ratsasan. Sathya Jyothi Films, which backs the project, is yet to reveal any details about its plot or additional cast members. However, the makers dropped a first-look poster a few months back, featuring Vishnu and Mamitha's characters on a cloud that floats over a scenic valley. The poster hints at a romance drama.
Meanwhile, Vishnu Vishal is awaiting the October 31 release of Aaryan, where he plays a cop in pursuit of a serial killer again after Ratsasan.
