Actor Vishal, who was last seen in Madha Gaja Raja, opened up on how he first started in the industry and how his path changed after he met actor Arjun.

In a podcast, Yours Frankly, Vishal revealed that he first wanted to go behind the camera and become a director. "I joined Arjun sir as an assistant director. I didn't receive my daily batta for one week. People thought that since I was the son of producer GK Reddy, I did not need to get paid. But Arjun sir scolded them and provided batta. The first salary I received was Rs 100," Vishal said.

Vishal also added that he was keen on becoming a director at first and did not aim to get into acting. "But my father said that I needed to try acting. I was dismissive. Then later on, Arjun sir too said, 'You have to become an actor, so drop the clapboard and pursue acting'. He told my father that I would become a hero and asked me to do a photo shoot. Also, at that particular point, there was a boom of new talents in the industry. Films with newcomers like Boys were made. I landed Chellame during this period."

Vishal will be next seen in Magudam, alongside Dushara, last appeared in Vikram-led Veera Dheera Sooran, Yogi Babu, and Anjali.

This film marks the 99th production feature of the popular Super Good Films banner.

Magudam's music will be composed by GV Prakash, who is joining hands with the actor for the second time after Mark Antony. Richard M Nathan is responsible for cinematography, Srikanth NB manages the edits, and G Durairaj serves as the production designer.
