
After making a wave in Malayalam cinema with films such as Super Saranya and Premalu, Mamitha Baiju is coming to win over Tamil audiences with Dude. At the Dude audio launch earlier today, the actor spoke about the love and affection she has earned from the audience in Tamil Nadu, among other things. "The experience is surreal for me because the audience has supported me with this much love. You have made me feel like I am one of your own; thank you so much for that," said the Premalu star at the event.
Mamitha called the Keerthiswaran directorial a "very special" film in her career. "I had so much fun shooting with the crew, everyone." She then expressed her gratitude to Dude director Keerthiswaran and the film's producers, Mythri Movie Makers' Naveen Yerneni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar, for providing her with the opportunity to act in the film. Addressing Dude cinematographer Niketh Bommi, she said, "It was so much fun working with you."
She also expressed her admiration for and gratitude to the film's lead actor and her co-star Pradeep Ranganathan. "Pradeep sir, you are an amazing co-star. You supported me a lot knowingly and unknowingly. I learnt a lot from you."
Also starring R Sarathkumar, Rohini, Hridhu Haroon, and Neha Shetty, Dude is slated for an October 17 release. Also set to release on the same day is Mari Selvaraj's Bison, starring Dhruv Vikram and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead roles.
Mamitha Baiju's upcoming films in Tamil also include Jana Nayagan, starring Vijay in his final film and directed by H Vinoth.
