At the end of the first Sunday episode of Bigg Boss Tamil 9, Pravin Gandhi walked out as the first evictee, leaving both the contestants and audience stunned. The first week of the show thereby wrapped up on an emotional and dramatic note.
The episode kicked off with an entertaining task titled Followers Increase vs Followers Decrease, where the contestants were asked to evaluate each other’s popularity and social media presence. Diwakar impressed everyone with his performance and received appreciation from both his co-contestants and the host. On the other hand, Parvathy continued to receive criticism from her fellow housemates after Saturday's episode, with many of them saying that her personality would have only earned her more haters.
The cheerful atmosphere inside the house soon turned tense as Vijay Sethupathi revealed the eviction results. While many predicted that Kalaiyarasan, Apsara CJ or Pravin Gandhi would be evicted, the former two were saved.
As he bid farewell to his fellow contestants, Pravin, who took the eviction very sportingly, delivered an emotional parting message that struck a chord with everyone: “I am not a loser; don’t treat me as one.” He even said that exiting this competition was not a problem for him, as he has faced worse.
Once back on stage, Pravin shared his heartfelt thoughts about the show. “Bigg Boss is heaven. Without a phone, it’s a truly divine place,” he said, expressing gratitude for the experience. Host Vijay Sethupathi praised Praveen for his sincerity and positivity during his time in the house. “Every exit marks a new beginning,” he said, wishing the filmmaker success in his future endeavours.
After Pravin's exit, Vijay Sethupathi addressed the housemates once again, advising them to take good care of the items at the Bigg Boss Tamil 9 house.
