Director-actor Pradeep Ranganathan has once again shown that he is an admirer of Rajinikanth. Recently, Pradeep revealed that he used to focus more on attending a Rajinikanth film on the first show of release as compared to examinations. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, the actor doubled down on his love for the superstar by picking his 1999 film with KS Ravikumar, Padaiyappa, as one of his five favourite films. Also part of the list are Kamal Haasan-Singeetam Srinivasa Rao's Apoorva Sagodharargal, Stephen Spielberg's Jurassic Park, James Cameroon's Titanic, and Chris Columbus' Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.
The Dragon and Love Today star said that these are among his favourite films since childhood. The actor also made it a point to remind the interviewer, Anupama Chopra, that the Kamal Haasan film is dubbed Appu Raja in Hindi.
Pradeep Ranganathan was last seen in this year's blockbuster Dragon, opposite Kayadu Lohar, Anupama Parameswaran, and Mysskin, among others. The actor's upcoming projects include Dude, opposite Mamitha Baiju, and director Vignesh Shivan's Love Insurance Kompany. The makers of LIK, Vignesh, Nayanthara and SS Lalit Kumar, have moved the release of the film to December 18 to avoid a direct box-office clash with Dude.
