On Monday, actor Rajinikanth, who is currently on a spiritual pilgrimage, visited the Badrinath temple to offer prayers to the temple's deity, Lord Badri Vishal. The video of his visit went viral on social media.

The news of Rajinikanth's visit to the temple was shared by the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee. The veteran actor was warmly welcomed by the committee upon his arrival at the temple. As a blessing from Lord Badri Vishal, he was presented with prasad and a tulsi garland.

Badrinath, a sacred Char Dham pilgrimage site, is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and draws large crowds of devotees annually. Kedarnath Temple, another revered Char Dham site in Northern India, is situated on the Mandakini River's banks at an elevation of 3,584 metres.

On the work front, Rajinikanth was last seen alongside Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Aamir Khan and Shruti Haasan in Coolie, the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial. The film hit theatres in August and opened to mixed reviews. In the film, Rajinikanth plays Deva, a man who has had a relentless quest for vengeance since youth, driven by righting past wrongs, shaping his very existence.
