Earlier, we reported about Meiyazhagan filmmaker C Premkumar teaming up with Fahadh Faasil for an upcoming film. The other day, Isari Ganesh of Vels Film International revealed that he is producing the film, and that it will go on floors immediately. The producer disclosed that he is yet to announce the film officially, but he is revealing details about it now because Premkumar has already spilled the beans in a recent interview (with popular television host Gobinath). Isari Ganesh also said that he is a fan of Premkumar's debut film '96, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha in the lead roles. "I have seen '96 five or six times. I really liked it, as did everyone else," he shared. According to the producer, the collaboration between Premkumar and Fahadh Faasil is one that nobody anticipated.
"Fahadh Faasil is best suited for that story," he said before teasing that it is in line with the actor's iconic 2024 film Aavesham. In his recent interview, Premkumar said that it would be an action thriller, unlike his filmography thus far and that it would commence production in January next year.
Meanwhile, Premkumar also has a sequel to '96 in the pipeline. He has already written the screenplay for it. On the other hand, Fahadh Faasil has many projects at various stages of production, including the multistarrer Patriot with Mohanlal, Mammootty, Nayanthara and Mahesh Narayanan, Karate Chandran and Don’t Trouble The Trouble.
