

On the sixth day of its theatrical run, Kaantha saw a dip in its collection at the India box office. After beginning strong and seeing a rise in collections on the opening weekend, the collections for the Dulquer Salmaan-headliner, stabilised.
According to Sacnilk, Kaantha collected Rs 1.75 crores at the end of Day 6 of its theatrical run. This is a sharp contrast to the rise it saw from Day 4 to Day 5, collecting Rs 1.8 crores and Rs 1.85 crores, at the end of Day 4 and Day 5, respectively.
After opening strongly by collecting Rs 4.35 crores on its opening day, it went on to collect Rs 5 crores on it second day, making it the largest day-wise footfall yet. On the third day, the film collected Rs 4.5 crores. By the end of Day 6 the total collections at the Indian box office was a total of Rs 19.25 crores.
The film which is set in erstwhile Madras, in 1950, follows a clash between a superstar actor and his former mentor, which leads to grave outcomes. Rana Daggubati, Samuthirakani, Ravindra Vijay, Gayathrie Shankar, Nizhalgal Ravi, Bagavathi Perumal, and Vaiyapuri, also star in Kaantha.
