Actor Kavin is gearing up for the release of his film Mask, directed by Vikarnan Ashok and produced by Andrea Jeremiah, who is also his co-star in the film. At a recent promotional event for it, he talked about what to expect from the film from a commercial point of view. Kavin said, "It is based on an incident that happened in the director's life. It has been told in a particular way, taking the entertainment factor into consideration." The actor also shared that middle class family audiences would be able to relate to the film's story. "It has a subject matter like that. Please watch and let me know," the actor shared.
He addressed speculation about the film's genre as well. "It has an action mood, but it is not a film of that genre," he said before underscoring that there is an amount of action that is sufficient for it.
Mask is produced by Andrea under her The Show Must Go On banner alongside SP Chokkalingam of Black Madras Films. Vetri Maaran also serves as a mentor and an erstwhile producer for Mask. Nelson Dilipkumar is part of the project as a narrator, and he made creative inputs for it as well.
