

A car explosion near Delhi's Red Fort on Monday accounted for multiple deaths and injured many. Following the tragic event, many celebrities took to social media to condemn what is being described as an act of terrorism. "What happened in Delhi is horrible. Prayers and thoughts with the families of the victims," wrote actor-comedian Vir Das about the Delhi blast. On the other hand, actor Vishal wrote, "Saddening to hear the news about the tragic blast near Red Fort in Delhi especially being a tourist spot. Several lives lost, many injured and it's disheartening to see so many innocent lives being taken again by a barbaric act of terrorism. Vishal went on to add, "It's difficult to even say rest in peace to those innocent victims who passed away. Heart goes out to everyone who have lost their lives and the injured victims."
Vishal also shared that those responsible for the "atrocious act be caught and punished severely."
Meanwhile, the official X handle of actor Vijay's political party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam also expressed shock and sadness at the Delhi blast. "Deeply shocked and saddened by the news of car explosion near Red Fort Metro, Delhi that has claimed precious lives. My heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. Wishing speedy recovery to all those injured," wrote TVK Vijay on X.
Meanwhile, Nagarjuna called it a "barbaric incident" and said that his "heart goes out to the victims and their loved ones during this painful time."
