The makers of Kaantha has announced that the trailer for the film will release on November 6. Starring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead, the film is set to be released theatrically on November 14.
Kaantha is written and directed by Selvamani Selvaraj. Dulquer and Rana Daggubati are producing the film under their Wayfarer Films banner and Spirit Media banner, respectively. Prashanth Potluri and Jom Varghese also produce the film.
The cast of the film also includes Samuthirakani, Bhagyashri Borse, and Rana Daggubati, among others. The film is set in 1950s Madras and chronicles the contentious relationship between a director and an actor.
Jhanu Chanthar composes music for the film. The rest of the technical crew of Kaantha consists of Dani Sanchez-Lopez as the cinematographer and Lewllyn Anthony Gonsalvez as the editor.
Kaantha was set to release on September 12. But for reasons unknown the film's release was pushed, and later it was announced to be releasing on November 14.
