Sasikumar's Tourist Family collects over Rs 75 crore

With the overwhelmingly positive critical and commercial acclaim since its release, makers of debutant Abishan Jeevinth's Tourist Family announced that the film has raked in Rs 75 crore worldwide since its release.

Footfall for the film that released on May 1 kept increasing with positive reviews from fans, critics and celebrities.

Tourist Family, starring Sasikumar and Simran in the lead, revolves around a Tamil family fleeing Sri Lanka due to the island nation's post-Covid economic crisis and making a livelihood in Tamil Nadu. How the family and community come together in the face of adversity forms the plot of this film.

The film also stars Yogi Babu, Mithun Jai Sankar, Kamalesh, MS Bhaskar, Ramesh Thilak, Bagavathi Perumal, Elango Kumaravel and Sreeja Ravi. Apart from critical and commercial acclaim, the film has also been receiving praise from all quarters - audiences, critics as well celebrities like Rajinikanth, Dhanush, Sivakarthikeyan, and director SS Rajamouli, among others.

Tourist Family is produced by Pasilian Nazareth, Magesh Raj Pasilian, and Yuvaraj Ganesan under the Million Dollar Studios and MRP Entertainment banners.
