Jinn-The Pet trailer: Mugen Rao’s lucky charm Jinn turns out to be his worst nightmare

When you do something risky for the sake of your own welfare, you should be willing to face the consequences. Unfortunately, Mugen Rao’s character isn’t well equipped to face the ghastly Jinn in his upcoming film Jinn – The Pet. The makers unveiled the film’s trailer on Wednesday.

The trailer introduces Mugen as a down-on-luck lad who goes to a black magician to buy a lucky charm that helps him achieve all he ever dreamed of. The catch? The charm is not a four-leaf clover or the Turkish evil eye– it is a Jinn, a type of spirit from Muslim mythology. Initially, Mugen is on a high as he ticks off everything on his life checklist, one by one. But when the jinn has other aspirations, it starts troubling his family and eventually becomes a deadly force against the world. How Mugen and co. destroy the diabolic spirit forms the crux of the story.

Written and directed by TR Bala, Jinn – The Pet also stars Bhavya Trikha, Balasaravanan, Imaan Annachi, Vadivukarasi, Vinodhini, George Vijay and Rithvik. The film’s technical crew includes DOP Arjun Raja, editor Deepak and music composer duo Vivek-Mervin.

Jinn – The Pet is all set to hit theatres on May 30.
