Vishal and Sai Dhanshika, two prominent actors in the Tamil film industry, had made their relationship public during the trailer launch of Dhanshika's Yogi Da on Monday. Vishal had joined the event as a chief guest.
Taking to the stage, Dhanshika mentioned that they wanted to make their relationship official after a news report had mentioned about them and their marriage. "We didn't want to make the announcement at the press conference. However, a news report went viral this morning. We initially thought that we would maintain our friendship in front of the media before the event began. But, after the report, we felt there was nothing to hide," she shared.
She further announced that they would be tying the knot on August 29 which is also Vishal's birthday. "I have known Vishal for the past 15 years. Whenever we met in the past, he treated me with due respect. When I was in deep trouble, he visited my home and raised his voice for me. No hero has ever visited my house. It was very sweet of him - his gesture was pleasing," she added.
Vishal too confirmed the same and underlined how he was lucky to have Dhanshika as his life partner. "She is a wonderful person. They say God saves the best for the last, and I believe he saved Dhanshika for me. We are going to lead a positive and lovely life," he said. The actor had earlier stated that he would get married only after the completion of the Nadigar Sangam (South Indian Artistes’ Association) building which he once again confirmed at the event.
Speaking to reporters after the event, Dhanshika was shocked at how the cat was let out of the bag. "We thought we could keep this a secret and live with a bit of freedom. But I don't think that's possible now, especially with an actor like Vishal. This happened by itself, thanks to God. My family members were obviously shocked, but some expressed genuine happiness. We didn't plan on announcing this during the event, but it happened to become like that. We need everyone's blessing," she explained, asserting that she will continue her acting career.
She also spoke a few words about her upcoming film Yogi Da. "I have worked in Yogi Da very passionately. It's an action film which is also commercial. This will be an important film in my career," she revealed.
