Thudarum director Tharun Moorthy visited Tamil actors Suriya, Jyothika and Karthi, over the weekend. He was accompanied by his wife, Revathy Roy, and their children. Following the visit, Tharun expressed his gratitude on social media for their support and appreciation of Thudarum and Mohanlal. He shared photos from the meeting on his social media handle on Sunday. Interestingly, Jyothika was one of the initial choices for the role of Lalitha in the film before the part eventually went to Shobana.

Thudarum, which released on April 25, continues its successful theatrical run into its fourth week, with strong footfall reported across Kerala through the weekend. Written by Tharun and K R Sunil, the film follows Shanmugham, a common man whose life spirals out of control after his family is targeted by a pair of corrupt policemen. It rides high on Mohanlal’s commanding performance, widely regarded by both critics and audiences as one of his finest in recent years. Celebrated ad filmmaker Prakash Varma’s portrayal of the antagonist has also drawn significant attention.

Meanwhile, Tharun has announced his next film, Torpedo. Scripted by actor Binu Pappu, the upcoming film features Fahadh Faasil, Naslen, Ganapathi, and Tamil actor Arjun Das in key roles.
