Ever since the release of Tourist Family, the family drama has been receiving outpouring praise from actors, audiences and critics. The latest to join the list is Tamil Nadu minister Ma Subramanian who said the film, headlined by Sasikumar and Simran, teaches us to live a life of humanity and love with our neighbors.
In a post on X, he expressed that Tourist Family had captured his heart. He praised Sasikumar, saying that he didn’t just portray a character embodying love, compassion, and helpfulness — he truly lived the role. He also shared that he personally called debutant director Abishan Jeevinth and Sasikumar to convey his admiration for the film and to offer his heartfelt congratulations.
Tourist Family revolves around a Tamil family fleeing Sri Lanka due to the island nation's post-Covid economic crisis and making a livelihood in Tamil Nadu. How the family and community comes together in the face of adversity forms the plot of this film.
The film also stars Yogi Babu, Mithun Jai Sankar, Kamalesh, MS Bhaskar, Ramesh Thilak, Bagavathi Perumal, Elango Kumaravel and Sreeja Ravi.
