The first single from Vijay Sethupathi's much-awaited film Ace has been unveiled by the makers. Titled 'Urugudhu Urugudhu', the song has been sung by Kapil Kapilan and Shreya Ghoshal with lyrics written by Thamarai.
Written, produced and directed by Arumugakumar, Ace stars Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead.
The film marks the director and actor's second collaboration after the 2018 black comedy Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren.
In an earlier glimpse, Vijay Sethupathi's character was revealed as Bold Kannan. He comes to Malaysia from India and is seen engaging in fights in Malaysia, which makes it evident that he would have ruffled some feathers in the foreign land and in turn antagonised a bad guy.
Ace marks the Sapta Saagaradaache Ello actor's Tamil debut, besides starring in as the female lead in Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming film Madharasi, directed by AR Murugadoss.
The cast of the upcoming film also stars Yogi Babu, PS Avinash, Divya Pillai, Bablu and Rajkumar, among others, in prominent roles. Touted to be an out-and-out commercial entertainer, the film, which has been shot extensively in Malaysia, is expected to have a blend of romance, action, comedy, and sentiment in its story.
On the technical team, Ace has music composed by Justin Prabhakaran, cinematography by Karan Bahadur Rawat, and editing by R Govindaraj. Ace is produced on a grand scale by Aarumugakumar of 7CS Entertainment. The makers are yet to give an official release date for the film.
