

Music composer AR Rahman has been admitted to a hospital in Chennai after experiencing sudden chest pains, reported India Today. He was taken in at 7:30 am. Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister MK Stalin took to X and shared an update on Rahman's health. He mentioned that after speaking to the doctors at the hospital, he was informed that Rahman is fine and will return home soon.
AR Rahman's former partner, Saira Banu, recently underwent a surgery after being admitted for a medical emergency. Rahman and Saira Banu separated in November 2024, after being married for 29 years. Saira Banu later revealed that her health condition led her to take this decision.
Rahman has a long career in the film industry, working on films from the Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, English, Arabic, and Mandarin. His debut was with Mani Ratnam's Roja, with whom he has collaborated since. Among his upcoming releases is Mani Ratnam's Thug Life, starring Kamal Haasan.
