The makers of Keerthi Pandian's upcoming film Akkenam dropped the title track of the film 'Akkenam'.
The rap number, via its emphasis on one's individuality, seems to give away that the film too will lay focus on one's identity and how compromises on it should not be tolerated. 'Akkenam' composed by Barath Veeraraghavan is sung by him along with Driya Pandian and Dacalty, while the song is penned by Chandy.
Apart from Keerthi and Arun Pandian, the film, directed by Uday K, also stars Adithya Shivpink, Ramesh Thilak, and GM Sundar. Backed by Arun Pandian's A & P Groups, the film's technical crew comprises cinematographer Vignesh Govindarajan, music composer Barath Veeraraghavan, editor Devathyan, art director Raja, and stunt director PC Stunts.
The film marks the directorial debut of Uday K, who, in an exclusive interview with CE, said the title is the verbal translation of the Tamil Aayutha Ezhuthu. The film's story is said to be revolving around the lives of three important characters, which corresponds to the three-dotted letter in Tamil.
Uday K has previously made the short film Yakkai Thiri in 2022 with Dushara Vijayan in the lead, which received critical acclaim. Apart from Arun Pandian and Keerthi Pandian, the film also features Adithya Shivpink playing the role of the antagonist. Ramesh Thilak, GM Sundar, Adithya Menon, and Seetha play supporting roles.
The film is yet to get a release date.
