The trailer for Vaibhav and Sunil's Perusu was unveiled by the makers on Saturday. Helmed by Ilango Ram, the film is backed by Kartik Subbaraj's Stone Bench Films and Baweja Studios.
The trailer shows the demise of Vaibhav and Sunil's father. But, with no time to mourn, the brothers are faced with an awkward and embarrassing discovery: his erect penis still standing. What begins as a day of mourning descends into chaos as they attempt to discreetly address the situation before the funeral.
Perusu is based on Ilango Ram's Sinhalese film, Tentigo. A comedy-drama, the film won a Special Jury Award at the 2023 Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. Redin Kingsley, Niharika NM, Bala Saravanan, Karunakaran, and Chandini Tamilarasan round out the cast of Perusu.
Composer Arun Raj, cinematographer Sathya Thilakam, and editor Sooriya Kumaraguru round out the technical crew of Perusu, which is all set to hit theatres on March 14. The film is releasing alongside films like Sweetheart and Varunan.
