With the release scheduled for July 10, Sasikumar's Freedom has officially confirmed that the production has concluded.
The makers shared a picture from the sets of the crew along with the announcement. The film stars Lijomol Jose as the female lead. The film will throw light on the plight of two Sri Lankan Tamil refugees, played by Sasikumar and Lijomol, falsely convicted of crimes they did not commit.
Bose Venkat and Malavika Avinash also star in prominent roles in Freedom. The film has music by Ghibran, cinematography by NS Uthaya Kumar, and editing by Srikanth NB.
Freedom is co-produced by Sujatha Pandian and Pandian Parasuraman. The film will release in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
Sasikumar was last seen in Tourist Family, by debutant Abishan Jeevinth, which also starred Simran, Kamalesh Jagan, MS Bhaskar, Yogalakshmi, Bagavathi Perumal and Ramesh Thilak. The film went on to become a huge success at the box office and also fetched a favourable response upon its OTT premiere. Meanwhile, Lijomol, last seen in Gentlewoman, also had the releases of Ponman, Kaadhal Enbadhu Podhu Udamai and Daveed this year.
